| How
To
Subscribe To A Podcast |
| If
you want to hand-pick the individual files which interest you,
you can visit the feed or podcast web page and download, or
stream, the
audio you wish. In order to retrieve the podcast files
automatically, as they are updated,
you will need a program to assist you (called an aggregator or
podcatcher).
Free programs such as iTunes,
or a My Yahoo home page, allow you to
capture a podcast feed
(the xml file, which lists the links and information for the audio
files). |
|
| Direct Feed
Subscription (via your internet browser) |
Whether you
use Internet Explorer or Firefox, you can read a browser-friendly feed,
which displays links to the audio files and episode descriptions.
Click on the Audio Literature Odyssey feed link
and your default browser will open up the feed. You will
notice a prompt at the top of the feed instructing you to subscribe.
Follow the instructions.
Please
Note: Your feed will be indexed in your browser
favorites, but you will have to periodically visit the feed to view
updates and manually download. Podcatchers will automatically download updates, when you activate them.
